Mayonnaise and Avocado
Avocados have high fat content which adds shine to your hair. They also provide vitamins C and E, anti-oxidants that can help protect your hair from environmental factors like pollution. While Mayonnaise is made of oil and egg so it is a very useful in treating damaged hair.
To Use: Mash up half an avocado and add Mayonnaise to it. Now massage the preparation into your scalp and cover your hair with a shower cap. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. This home remedy for treating damaged hair can be followed every 2 weeks.
Honey is very good for treating Dry and Sun-Damaged hair. It has the ability to hold moisture making it suitable for damaged and dry hair. But one should also know that it lightens the color of your hair so it should be used in minimum amount.
To Use: For extremely sun damaged hair mix 1 to 2 Tbsp of egg yolk to ½ cup of honey. Mix it well and apply on scalp. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. This home remedy can be followed once a month.
Yoghurt or sour cream can be really good for treating damaged hair as the lactic acid in it gently takes away dust/dirt while your hairs are moisturized by the milk fat. It also provides essential proteins and encourages hair growth and repair.
To Use: Simply massage ½ cup of plain yoghurt on your hair and scalp and keep it for15- 20 minutes. Now rinse your hair with warm water and then by cold water and finally shampoo your hair. This home remedy for treating damaged hair can be followed every week.
